The 2nd General Meeting of the URBIOFIN Consortium took place on 31st November and 1st December 2017 at CIEMAT in Madrid, Spain, to discuss the progress of the project during its first 6 months.
The URBIOFIN Consortium is composed of 16 recognized key actors on the topics of municipal solid waste management, bioprocessing technologies, bioproducts and biomaterials, biofuels, industrial processes and integration.
During the General Meeting the working groups presented their first results, exchanged knowledge and came together to discuss the activities of the next 6 months period.
We are proud to announce that the first milestone, the characterization and selection of the best Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste as basis for further investigations in the project, has been reached in time.
The next General Meeting has been proposed to be hosted by WUR in June 2018.
